作者简介

Syd Hoff was born and raised in New York City. He studied at the National Academy of Design and sold his first cartoon to The New Yorker when he was eighteen. "After a long sea voyage, Oliver the elephant gets off the boat and learns that he doesn't have a job in the circus. He heads out seeking employment first at the zoo and then as a peanut vendor. Neither works out, so he tries being a pet. Finally Oliver heads to the park where he meets a group of kids. After playing awhile, they all contemplate what they would like to do. Oliver, who wants to be a dancing elephant, starts to strut his stuff. He is so good that people don't pay attention to the passing circus parade. Finally Oliver gets the job that he wants and deserves. The text is simple and the illustrations are a delight, but the book is a bit long for kids just starting to read. 还不错吧，不过还没看起来。这套书是谁的书单里来着的，因为买了几本恐龙的，看起来不错，所以也把这几本入了。不过总的来说，还是价格偏高，孩子看书快承担不起啦~喜欢并且反复看的还好，否则就浪费了。只能趁着活动囤了。
