評分##有些書難讀，但是讀下來還是能學到一些東西，所以還是值得。這本書文字流暢，但是看完沒覺得有什麼收獲，最多算雞湯，太長，所以是特大的一鍋雞湯！作者對現狀太樂觀，數據的選擇讓人生疑。以後蓋茨推薦的書要等一段時間再讀，水分太多。

評分##此書可以顛覆人們關於自身處境和當前人類境況的錯誤觀點與感性判斷。作者對於人類的現在和未來，抱持鮮明且有理有據的樂觀態度。用數據和事實證明，當今這個時代，是人類曆史上最好的時代。不隻是比曆史好一點，而是好很多。不隻是在某幾個方麵，遠超以往的時代。而是在幾乎所有方麵，都優於過去。這一切進步和成就，源於對啓濛運動核心觀念的踐行：理性、科學、人文主義。這些觀念和價值，需要通過新一輪啓濛運動來捍衛並發揚。它們是人類及每位個體解決自身所麵臨的問題的終極武器。
評分主旨就是從各方麵花式論證人類在變好，贊美啓濛思想的意義和效果。有的章節論證比較充分令人信服，但是部分章節也很牽強，選擇的數據圖錶都是有利於自己的，反麵觀點就一筆帶過，因果邏輯模糊，所以我還是站在持懷疑態度的一方。閱讀這本書可以增強對人類的信心，減輕悲觀主義，算是一碗科學雞湯。
