When Billy, a troubled young man, comes to private eye Cormoran Strike's office to ask for his help investigating a crime he thinks he witnessed as a child, Strike is left deeply unsettled. 評分##這本依然充斥著扼殺讀者想象力的過於詳細的環境描寫。推理的失敗之處在於案件的綫索和細節全麵鋪開，沒有進行逐個篩除或提煉，而選擇瞭在小說最後10%一下子圓掉，作者試圖給讀者一個真相大白的衝擊感，可惜過長的前戲令人乏力。這一部中，Robin終於擺脫渣男，Strike也恢復單身，一個心靈受創，一個斷腿殘疾，兩個殘缺的人終於有望走到一起，互補為完美。故事的精彩之處是Robin的兩次喬裝臥底，她的獨立調查部分也遠遠大於前三部，能力有瞭巨大的提升。最後一句的成對天鵝呼應第三本婚禮上的單隻天鵝。
評分##雖然案件是挺帶感是但真的太太太太太長瞭，因為上一本沒看於是覺得strike和robin的關係有點跟不上，還是覺得比第二本好看的

評分越寫越長…開局一憨人，後邊全靠聊，現場證據幾乎為零，全靠訪談和推測人物關係，具體方法在於竊聽、激怒和討好客戶，以便得到對辦客戶的案子有利的消息——權貴階級真是矯情。羅賓shithole婚姻讓我莫名共情，她於徹底疲憊失意之時想起Blanc de Blanc是全書最佳段落，超越瞭推理作品，羅琳突圍。同是糟糕童年，有人成為光明，有人墮入黑暗，斯特萊剋可沒有什麼製度化的同情，命運理所當然假定被握在人自己手中。中譯本必須把put horse翻成“放馬”，不然我是不答應的！每本書引文都為我種草，這次打算去讀羅斯莫莊
