A young woman named Aomame follows a taxi driver’s enigmatic suggestion and begins to notice puzzling discrepancies in the world around her. 越讀越覺得小說對作者的意義大於讀者，就像村上跑馬拉鬆，興緻再高的觀者也會不時厭倦，對於跑者卻如生命本身，意義非凡。英文版語言相當平易。

評分##這個星期為止寫瞭4篇essays以及啃瞭這一套3本的“1Q84.” 結論是，無論是我那double-face instructor還是書，兩個字點評－－坑爹！開篇嘩眾取寵，讀到第三本時已經趕腳掰不下去在湊字數。另外，我不知道這本所謂的村上巔峰力作想要錶達甚麼。
評分##其實我不太喜歡他的所謂魔幻題材，很多不閤理的情節用這個來解釋。雖然事情發生在城市，題材也不算宏大，但牽扯進來越來越多的人後，結局卻和《飛鳥環形記》一樣又是虎頭蛇尾，little people和一些很重要的人都沒有交代就完瞭，好像作者編著編著纍瞭就草草瞭事一樣。
評分##Still confused by the symbolism behind all kinds of things, characters, events, the story itself is amazing, drowning & mesmerizing, as all Haruki's works, but this one gets me more: the complexity of the story, the variety and the richness of characters, and all the details in the narrative are greatly improved or should I say much more matured.
