##總的來說還是一部言情小說，有幾處設定我個人很喜歡：男女主的學術背景設定、女主傢有生命的房子以及小說中很多涉及到生物、曆史、科學方麵的知識都很有意思。Rebecca Bishop在整部書中的影響力讓人想到瞭希區柯剋的電影Rebecca。小說的中後段的兩處描寫很感人：女主在受難時腦中閃迴瞭兒時媽媽睡前給自己講的童話故事，一個包含瞭希望、力量和愛的，同時帶有預言性質的故事；男女主血液相融的畫麵堪稱全書最震撼同時也是最血腥的畫麵之一，期待電視劇的呈現效果。對於該小說最想吐槽的地方主要是作者塑造人物的失敗，人物性格前中後期的變化缺乏閤理的過渡，同時書中還充斥著大量無意義且對劇情推動毫無幫助的情節。

##(劇透)一個女巫從小因為魔力太強，就被自己爸媽下瞭降頭，無法施展法術，結果還沒來得及解開，他爸媽就被巫師長老害死瞭。這姑娘就一直不知道自己被下瞭降頭，就覺得是自己笨學不會咒語，但她其實還蠻聰明的，考上牛津，去yale教書，學的是科學史。一次在找文獻的時候不巧把一本好多巫師都沒找到的咒語書給召喚齣來瞭，結果成為大傢盯梢的對象，盯她的包括一個吸血鬼。後來那個吸血鬼盯著盯著就看上她瞭（非常莫名其妙），然後那個姑娘莫名其妙地也看上吸血鬼瞭，兩個人就開始處對象，但大傢都反對他倆處對象。在眾人的反對中，他倆還是鐵瞭心要處對象，最重要的是，那姑娘傻愣愣地把藉到的那本魔法書還迴去就藉不齣來瞭，於是各位長老們就急眼瞭。然後他倆閤計瞭一下，說跑路吧～然後正好姑娘能穿越，他倆就穿越到伊麗莎白時期的英國瞭。

##a discovery of witches is an interesting story, a combination of witchcrafts and vampires and history. But it’s poorly told in the book, the writing is too plain. However, the TV series is beautifully done.
