評分##Justice has long arms. The way up to the truth is quite strained and full of twists and turns but easy to follow and never lacking in humour. The truth is unexpected as always, but absolutely worth all the guesswork of readers from start to finish.

評分##故事開頭就是高潮很驚人啊，以目睹命案發生作為開端，安排人潛伏到大宅查探，幫助警員梳理案情，到後麵接連發生的毒殺事件，真的讓人看得很睏惑。伏筆也是早就埋下瞭，最後揭露凶手的時候纔恍然大悟記起原來真的有提及伏筆，很厲害！

評分##算是初級版的Girl on the train(或者說, elderly lady on the train...)，盡管鄉村老宅的生活情景是個亮點，案件也算新奇，但推理並不嚴密，而且結論也無法讓人滿意。一個小彩蛋是對英倫第一女管傢的一段描述，比如：病榻上的馬普爾小姐，看到女管傢用正確的方式打理馬普爾小姐花園裏的甜豆，立刻放下心來，肺病也好瞭大半...簡直像發生在我自己身上一樣真實。
