　　決定論與非決定論是哲學史上一對古老的矛盾。決定論者認為事物的運動與變化均有一定的規律，例如自然界內由於溫度的變化而引起水從液體、汽體到固體的變化規律；人類社會中，由於人類對自然界認識和改造能力的增強導緻人類在經濟和文化上進步的規律等。而非決定論者認為自然界與人類社會的變化是無規律的，水既可以隨溫度的變化而變化，也可以不變化；人類社會的發展更無規律可言，“一切都可能發生”。（引自波普爾著《開放社會及其敵人》第二捲，中國社會科學齣版社99年版，P.304——下麵若引用該書，將以《開放》名之，版本同，隻注明頁碼）
