具體描述
A dentist lies murdered at his Harley Street practice...The dentist was found with a blackened hole below his right temple. A pistol lay on the floor near his outflung right hand. Later, one of his patients was found dead from a lethal dose of local anaesthetic. A clear case of murder and suicide. But why would a dentist commit a crime in the middle of a busy day of appointments? A shoe buckle holds the key to the mystery. 評分##早先讀過中文版，居然已經不記得劇情，也不記得凶手是誰。可見這本書——太復雜，太多旁支錯節，有故弄玄虛之嫌。

評分##冒名頂替，各種看似無關的綫索糾結在一起，幸好有老好波羅抽絲剝繭。阿婆很喜歡用童謠和俚語啊。

評分##故事有點太簡單瞭⋯⋯感覺案件復雜程度還不如阿婆的一些小短篇⋯⋯不過第一次看到阿婆抨擊老舊勢力也實在是很難得的（她的好多作品譬如destination unknown和they came to Baghdad都視挑戰舊勢力的新思想為洪水猛獸）
