作者簡介

Walter Isaacson (born May 20, 1952) is a writer and biographer. He is the President and CEO of the Aspen Institute, a nonpartisan educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, D.C. He has been the Chairman and CEO of CNN and the Managing Editor of TIME. He was appointed by President Obama to be the Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which runs Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, and the other international broadcasts of the U.S. government.

雖然看英語很費勁，但是還是會發現看原著和翻譯版的區彆，這種生動和樂趣不是看中文版能理解的

1933年1月納粹黨攫取德國政權後，愛因斯坦成為科學界首要的迫害對象，幸而當時他在美國講學，未遭毒手。3月他迴歐洲後避居比利時，9月9日發現有準備行刺他的蓋世太保跟蹤，星夜渡海到英國，10月轉到美國擔任新建的普林斯頓高等研究院的教授（與普林斯頓大學非同一機構），直至1945年退休。1940年他取得美國國籍。

終於買到瞭這本書，好書，主要是該作者寫的書通俗有趣。 書是大開本，與16開差不多，略窄但較長，字體也比較大，看起來舒服。
