作者简介

“事父母能竭其力；”等。即孔子说；“当他父亲在世的时候，要观察他的志向；在他父亲死后，要考察他的行为；若是他对他父亲的教诲长期不加改变，这样的人可以说是尽到孝了。”这里讲了什么是孝，同“事父母能竭其力”有些不同。虽然事父母能竭其力，但在社会上做事，或是贪污或是抢劫，触犯法律，使父母担心、忧心，这也不能算是孝。父母都希望子女比自己强，具有良好的品德，这是父母教育子女的出发点。所以为父母提供丰厚的物质不是孝的根本，如果能够按照父母的意愿、教诲行事做人，对得起父母才是真正的孝。
