作者簡介

Jack Welch received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts in 1957 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. He joined GE in 1960 and was elected vice president in 1972 and vice-chairman in 1979. In 1981, he became the eighth chairman and CEO in the company's 121-year history.

書的外皮有些舊，沒有塑封。內容還可以。。

　　這樣看來，傑剋同學也和我們差不多嘛。 以中國目前徵婚的主流要求來說（以這個BBS為例），傑剋同學還是挺慘的，身高1.73, 略低於眾多MM 的1.75 的標尺；說話有時結巴；在非211學校本科畢業；在某221學校化工博士將畢業；自己無積蓄，無房，父母工薪階層。這樣的同學不但沒有MM搭理，估計會整天去BBS 灌水，像下麵的眾多帖子那樣： 但是不同的是傑剋在讀完博士學位後，他對自己喜歡什麼，想要什麼，不擅長什麼，都非常清楚瞭。他不在考公務員，專利局，教書之間徘徊不定，也沒哀嘆當年沒上學的哥們兒都比他有錢，他明確地要 “涉及技術，又涉及商業” 的工作。看來傑剋讀書沒白讀。另外他早已搞定瞭女朋友。又如，傑剋在52-53頁 迴顧瞭自己幾十年來招聘員工時所犯的錯誤：1.根據應聘者的外錶來決定是否錄用。 後來發現：有些人徒有其錶，外強中乾。 2.在亞洲招聘時，如果應聘者的英語說得不錯，我就很有可能接受瞭他。 後來發現：語言能力不是全部能力 。3.我喜歡選擇麻省理工，普林斯頓和加州理工的研究生。 後來發現：從哪個學校畢業並不能決定他們就有多好。4.我對那些受過多門學科教育，有著多個學位頭銜的簡曆十分偏愛。後來發現：有些人不能集中精力在某一項業務上，容易散漫，不願承諾，缺乏對任何一件事情的緊張與熱情。犯瞭這麼多錯誤後，傑剋同學意識到 - 真正要尋找的是那些充滿瞭熱情，希望做齣點成績來的人。 我們所有參與員工招聘，培訓工作的同事可以好好琢磨琢磨。
