As of 24 March 2011, the editors had completed the third edition from M to Ryvita. 　　值得一提的是，新中国成立后，党和政府十分重视计量工作，我国的计量工作进入了一个新的发展时期。计量管理实现了从度量衡到现代计量管理的发展；计量技术实现了从尺、升、斤的校正到十大计量专业量值统一的发展；计量制度实现了从市英制共存到采用国际单位制的发展。从1949年建国到现在，中国计量工作不断地向前发展，所取得的成就是过去几千年的度量衡业绩无法相比的，这得益于科技进步，改革开放和社会主义制度。
