When George swallows a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, a trip to the hospital is in order. George doesn’t much enjoy the hospital—that is, until he’s feeling better. Then, his curiosity gets the best of him and he soon creates quite a mess! Through the experiences of a little monkey, boys and girls learn that an operation in the hospital is not so bad after all.

作者简介

Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

The book is newly released with an audio CD that contains two versions of the narrated story, one with page-turn signals and one without, which provides a new way for readers to enjoy a classic character in action. A useful addition to the early elementary classroom, whether it be on the bookshelf, as part of a listening center, or just to play aloud for the class as a group. 买书、读书、藏书，对我来说是一个幸福的过程。我的书都是在京东买的。

我是从来不买盗版书的，这也是真正读书人应该具备的原则，但我也很少去一些综合性的大书店买书。太阳城里的“龙媒书店”我隔三差五就要去转一圈，那里主要经营的是文学类的书籍，书店虽然小但是文化氛围比较好，见到爱不释手的好书就急忙买下来。我还喜欢逛一些大学附近的小书店，无论走到那个地方，我首先想去的就是这个城市的书店，临近大学的更要去，因为那样的书店不乏青春的气息，在那里更容易找到有激情、有深度甚至是有些批判性质的书籍。

最后说说藏书。喜欢书的人都是求书欲极强的人，他们总喜欢把喜欢的书占为己有，因此收藏书自然成为读书人爱书、恋书的一种嗜好。看着自己多年积累的书籍犹如金屋藏娇，夜阑人静目视他们仿佛是在与自己昔日的情人对话，挽手相伴遨游在浩瀚的知识海洋，有震撼更有一种内心的满足与幸福。

从最初的《读者》、《散文诗》、《青年文摘》等一些期刊的订购，到现在的诗歌散文、随笔小说、文史哲类的书籍，总之都是些人文类的，买书十几年下来豁然发现自己的书柜已多达六七百册了。男人买书犹如女人上街买衣服，不光是注重样式更注重质量，如果遇到一本品质高、内容丰富，很符合口味的书就像如获至宝一样。

读书可以分两种，一种是读有实用性的书，多是为了应付考试的那种；另一种是只为慰藉心灵，寻得精神享受的书，而我说的读书是指后一种的闲书。喜欢读书的人，一定把读书当成一种兴趣与习惯，他也一定是一个乐读者，如果三日不读书就衍生日子苍白，心灵空虚、知识匮乏之感，如同吸烟者犯了烟瘾般的痛苦。
