作者簡介

Norman Bridwell (born February 15, 1928 in Kokomo, Indiana, U.S.) is an American author and cartoonist, best-known for the Clifford the Big Red Dog series of children's books. Bridwell attended John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, Indiana and Cooper Union in New York City. He currently resides on Martha's Vineyard, MA, where he continues to write an average of two books a year. There are over 126 million copies of his books in print in 13 languages.He lives in Edgartown, MA with his wife Norma. They have two children, son, Tim, and daughter, Emily Elizabeth.

另外一到放假也是讓傢長很頭疼的事。傢長工作忙，沒有足夠的時間來陪孩子，而往昔的四閤院也變成瞭高樓大廈，如今已再難看到成群鄰居傢的孩子一起戶外嬉戲的場麵。孩子大部份時間隻好窩在傢裏，現在的孩子大都成瞭“宅男”“宅女”，成天泡在電腦電視旁，看電視玩遊戲，這對孩子的成長是很不利的。如果孩子有瞭閱讀的習慣，那麼，閱讀也就會是他們娛樂的方式之一，他們就會把一些精力放到閱讀上，把良書變益友，從而增加生活的樂趣，把他們的目光從這些所謂的高科技産品移開。
