崔瑞德（1925—2006）：1925年9月23日生于伦敦，最初研究地质和地理学。中文名字杜希德（中国社会科学出版社出版的剑桥中国史系列丛书中文版写作崔瑞德，故通称崔瑞德）。崔瑞德是二战以来最重要的汉学家之一，也是西方隋唐史研究的奠基人，他在这一领域的著述具有开创性的意义，填补了西方汉学研究的一大空白。崔瑞德多年担任《亚洲专刊》（Asia Major）的主编，在艰困环境中支撑着这本老牌汉学杂志继续出版，并最终将它由伦敦迁至台北。《剑桥中国史》主编，发起人。
