Readers are never told that Pocahontas's marriage to John Rolfe had brought a temporary peace. Save youngsters from frustration and consider reading Ingri and Edgar D'Aulaire's Pocahontas (Doubleday, 1989) aloud, since there are still no accessible beginning-to-read biographies featuring this woman."

每個人的一生中都會經曆這樣或那樣痛苦的事情，知識程度不同。可能是涉世不深，可能是一直在傢人，朋友，老師的嗬護，陪伴下，對於“痛苦”這兩個字我沒有太深的感觸。然爾，再讀完著本書後，真的讓我對這兩個字有瞭進一步的瞭解。這位作者所經曆的痛，所經曆的苦，真的讓人都為之心痛。好多次，都讓我留下瞭淚水。
