内容简介

《清波杂志》十二卷、《清波别志》三卷，周焊撰。周焊（一二一七-一一九八后），字昭礼，泰州人。出身官宦家庭，一生未仕。「家藏故书几万卷，平时父子自相师友」。五十岁时曾作为使节的下属到过金国。晚年定居杭州，「日往来湖山间，把酒赋诗，悠然自得其乐」。此书即在这段时间写成，以「寓居中都清波门之南」，因名其集。其书「纪前言往行及耳目所接」之事，如典章制度、时事政治、名人轶事、风俗物产等。保留了不少宋人的佚文、佚诗和佚词。常为学者所称引，是研究宋代历史、社会、思想和文化的很有价值的参考资料。《杂志》卷七《使高丽》条与《别志》卷上《密室语》、《柴钦奏疏》条记宋、金结盟经过细节甚详，他书未见，弥足珍贵。

近时杨诚斋廷秀诗，有「玉堂着句转春风，诸老从前亦寓忠。谁为君王供帖子，丁宁绮语不须工」之句，是亦此意。顷得《玉堂集》，分为八帙。或云李汉老所编者，亦有皇太子府春、端帖子。
康定二年，刘涣奉使入西羗，招纳喻厮罗族部。蕃法【三】，唯僧人所过不被拘留，资给饮食。涣乃落发僧衣以行。李复圭云耳【四】。�p得《刘氏西行录》，乃涣所纪，往返系日以书，甚悉，且多篇咏。虽所至必与蕃僧接，且赖其乡导。既仗使节，辟官属、计事宜、结恩信【五】、称诏锡賫茶彩，悉用汉官威仪。范蜀公《东斋记》、王圣涂《渑水燕谈》皆及涣出使事，俱不言祝发。涣字仲章，保塞人。天圣中以奉礼郎上书请彻帘还政，后为右正言，又随孔道辅论废后事，以工部尚书致仕，元丰元年卒。
「沈隐侯曰：『古儒士为文【六】，当从三易：易见事，一也；易识事，二也；易读诵【七】，三也。』邢子才曰：『沈侯文章【八】，用事不使人觉，若胷臆语。』深以此服之。杜工部作诗，类多故实，不似用事者。是皆得作者之奥。樊宗师为文奥滥不可读，亦自名家。才不逮宗师者，固不可效其体。刘勰《文心雕龙》论之至矣。」向传《景文笔录》，复得一编名《摘粹》，四十八事，如辨碑刻及字音三四条，皆互出。前所论文见于《摘粹》。为文奥漩，公谓才不逮者不可效其体。以是知公所修《唐书》，后学其可妄议！
