隨著“一帶一路”建設的開展和人們對於絲綢之路學術研究的深入，絲路文化得到瞭空前的繁榮，以絲綢之路為題材的各種小說、詩歌、電影、戲劇、音樂、舞蹈、美術、攝影等等，應運而生，而且膾炙人口，備受歡迎。但是，以漫畫形式錶現絲綢之路的作品，還不多見。因此，我們策劃齣版這一套七冊的連環漫畫。經過專傢的推敲定稿後，邀請當代中國十多位漫畫傢繪製。這些藝術傢絕大多數畢生從事漫畫創作，在國內甚至海外具有很高的知名度。一些主創人員沿著絲綢古道的黃金路段，進行觀摩體驗，對創作中體現敦煌風格的有關問題進行瞭研討。應該說，這套叢書凝聚瞭編者和漫的心血。它的問世，增添瞭用漫畫手法錶現絲綢之路的新形式，詼諧幽默、可讀性強，為絲路文化注入瞭新鮮內容。
