　　 《姚勉集（繁体坚排版）》原名《雪坡姚舍人文集》、《雪坡舍人集》、《雪坡集》等，五十卷，南宋姚勉撰。姚勉（二二六-二一六二），字成一，又字述之，号雪坡，瑞州新昌（今江西宜丰）人。少颖敏，日诵数千言。师事蔡杭，笃守程、朱之学。理宗宝佑元年（二一五三）进士，其廷对万言策「议论本于学识，忧爱发于忠诚」，二笔万言，水涌山出，尽扫拘拘謭謭之习」，试官以为「奇才也」。今人亦以为是「历代状元文中不可多见的一篇奇文」。姚勉初授平江节度判官，旋丁父忧，服阕除秘书省校书郎、正字。

秦桧所为，今日岂宜有此，遂归。除通判处州，辞不就。及开庆元年（二一五九）昊潜人相，召为校书郎、正字、沂王府教授，景定元年（一二六〇）兼太子舍人。后理宗过东宫，姚勉借讲《否》卦指斥权奸，无所顾避，大忤执政沈炎、幸臣董宋臣。及贾似道归自黄州，讽孙附凤劾姚勉为昊潜党，免归而卒，年四十七。姚勉生平多孝义之举。曾师从宁远乐雷发（字声速，号雪矶）学诗，雷发累举不第，姚勉登科后，上疏请以让雷发。又初授承事郎，以本州岛解额狭，愿降授文林以增举额。又在东宫当转官，以祖守常四举不第，愿以所转官授之。其气节文章，为时人所称，多以苏轼、陈亮相比拟。方，逢辰称其为「瑞之奇气也」，「欲为天下国家兴事立业者也，岂文章而已乎」。文及翁赞其「忼慨有大志」，「倜傥有义气」，「磊磊落落有奇节」。释道璨则誉曰：「烽然文星，光焰万丈，折旋俯仰，未尝不在照临间。」姚勉生前与高安胡仲云、刘元高及同县黄梦炎齐名，称「锦江四俊」。《宋史》无传，仅于卷四十三提及「己亥，赐礼部进士姚勉以下及第出身有差」。《南宋馆阁录绩录》卷八、九略载其仕途履历。
玄纛开藩，千里欢呼，可想而见。某欲旌贺悃，辄奉尺书，皋缓有诛，尚祈矜贷。江上奏捷，虏骑已无南牧，政可为备御计。右相秋壑先生眷知明府尤厚，宏材必可尽展布也。乡邦幸甚。
某末繇侍拜，时暑向炎，伏惟为庙朝民社重。告成而后，即有峻除。京师百尔骫令，一当遵奉。

某，瑞之新昌人也，今家于郛。瑞素在僻乡，实为乐土，何尝识所谓兵革。今年狗咬石之戍撤，乃正月二十二日，遂遭虏哨之祸。虏寇既去，乡寇复挺，乘乱劫财、抉怨杀人者，往往而是。二月十五日宣间赵相始檄李虎者来任经理。是岂经理者哉！瑞之民遭虏之祸犹轻，遭寇之祸为重；遭寇之祸犹浅，遭虎之祸尤深。
